Today’s World Bee Day! 20 May 2022

Date for your Diary – SinCH has organised an evening talk about all things Bees by local expert Ron Rock A Buzz in the Borders on Friday 8th July at 7.30 at the Memorial Hall. All welcome.

World Bee Day first came about in 2017 after the United Nations adopted the celebration from the Slovenian Beekeepers Association. The event raises awareness of the essential role bees and other pollinators play in our and the planet’s survival.

As well as championing their hard work in keeping our ecosystems alive, the event shines a light on how we can better look after their survival, by better understanding issues and more sustainable beekeeping systems.

Bees are vital in keeping up the health of our ecosystem, so we need to give them the biggest chance possible to thrive.
