The Allotments Association is opening their site to the public again this year. All welcome.
Colwich Allotments Association is holding an Open Day on Sunday between 10am to 4pm. Parking is very limited but the allotments site is towards the top of Coley Lane near teh A51 bridge and can be accessed from Little Tixall Lane as well as Coley Lane. There are also footpaths leading to the site. A lovely opportunity for a walk!
SinCH supporters will find it an interesting place to visit as the growing season is in full swing. It’s not just about vegetables but lots of flowers too. The Allotments Association has also spent a lot of time improving biodiversity on the site so please go along and enjoy the event. There will also be stalls with fruit, veg, flowers, jam, cakes, biscuits, pickles, fruit drinks, books, DVDs, unwanted gifts, etc.
All donations raised will be shared equally between the Allotments Association and Katherine House Hospice.
If you don’t have an allotment there are still lots you can do to grow your own in your back yard – be inspired and also take a look at SinCH’s Green Finger project for some ideas!
