Our next Green Drinks evening will take place upstairs at the Great Haywood Sports & Social Club from 7.30 pm. All welcome.
Local consultant Mike Deegan has been working with Parish Council Associations across England on Sustainability issues especially Climate Change Adaptation and Biodiversity.
Mike will bring examples of what’s going on in Staffordshire and other areas of England to build Sustainable Communities. Drawing on the work he has been doing he will also look at how communities can best work together and how they relate to the different levels of local government, landowners and businesses when making sustainable changes.
In addition we will outline two new SinCH Projects.
Firstly, how best to tackle our Carbon Footprint? We are developing new pages on this for our web site so we would like to know which questions you want answering and what advice you need.
Secondly, SinCH has been asked to help the Parish Council make its Green Infrastructure Plan happen. This is all about enhancing our Green Spaces and improving biodiversity.
This project ties in with SinCH’s aspiration to Help Nature Thrive so we are very excited to be working with the Parish Council and other local groups and residents to make this happen. Please come and find out how you might get involved!
