Join us for a guided walk through Brocton Coppice – Sunday 12th November

Please join us and bring a friend or two. NOTE: the weather may be unpredictable and the terrain might be wet and uneven in places – so wear suitable footwear and clothing!

Meet at the PunchBowl car park at 10.15 for a 10.30 start. Please car-share or join us in walking from the Haywoods (details to follow by email).

This event is a Green Walk through the ancient trees of Brocton Coppice led by local entomologist Jon who specialises in insects and their habitats.

Jon will be giving us an outline of wood decay, identifying insects associated with the dead wood found on ancient trees and he will explain why these trees are so important.

We also hope there will be an opportunity to spot some fungi along the way!

For more information about the habitats on Cannock Chase please see the leaflet here and for more things to do on the Chase here -let’s go local!
